Carle Foundation Hospital is a level I trauma center located in Champaign Urbana, Illinois and offers a four-year certificate program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The scope of practice includes dentoalveolar, orthognathic, cleft craniofacial, head and neck cancer, and facial trauma surgery. Current dental students and recent graduates of a US dental school who are interested in pursuing a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery are encouraged to apply for a 1 week - 4 week externship. Housing is available.
