Description/Requirements: The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Gundersen Health Systems offers a one-week externship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with complimentary housing. This externship is designed to give highly motivated dental students a full scope experience in OMFS through both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Selected applicants are integrated onto our OMFS service and provided with a firsthand perspective of residency training. Externships are open to 3rd and 4th year dental students in good academic standing. The following items are required for an externship at GHS. 1. Current Curriculum vitae 2. Dean's letter stating the student is in good academic standing 3. Proof of malpractice insurance coverage 4.
