We accept externs throughout the year, with a limit of 1 extern per week. Externships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify, you must have completed a basic clinical course in oral and maxillofacial surgery and be competent in dentoalveolar surgery and the administration of local anesthesia. You must be a student in good standing. To apply, please submit: • Dental school transcripts • A letter from your dean supporting your application to the externship • A copy of your current TB, HepB immunizations and flu vaccination verification When applying, indicate which week you would be available for the externship, and provide a backup date, as well.
